Stanton's Road Trip: KMEA Conference! Monday, February 02, 2009

This is a big week for the Stanton's staff that will be heading to the KMEA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. We've checked the weather forecast and it looks all clear for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and despite recent storms, the Convention Center reports that they are up and running with full power. We invite you to come visit us in the exhibit hall starting at 1:00 PM on Thursday.

You'll notice in the program that Peter Boonshaft has a session scheduled for Thursday, “How We Teach—As Important as What We Teach: 20 Ways to Energize Rehearsals”. Peter is a fantastic clinician and if you have a chance to attend his clinic, you should. Peter will also spend some time at the Stanton's booth after the session signing his books, “Teaching Music with Passion” and “Teaching Music with Purpose”.

Another clinician that will be presenting is Donna Dirksing. Donna is an educator in the Cincinnati area and has published several general music resources with Lorenz. Donna was our clinician this past summer at Stanton's General Music Clinic and she has also been asked to come to our booth after her Thursday session, “Orff for Everyone—From My Classroom to Yours.”

Stanton's is looking forward to seeing all our friends and look forward to meeting new ones. Hope to see you there—look for the big balloon!
