Spring is here, and it’s time to start chosing music for this summer’s community band performances! Stanton’s recommends programming one of these popular favorites:

Hitsville U.S.A.
Arr. John Wasson, Grade 4
The title says it all! Motown’s treasury of songs has made an immeasurable impact on America’s popular music. John Wasson brings us this outstanding tribute to Berry Gordy and his incredible line-up of superstars! All Shook Up
Arr. Ted Ricketts, Grade 3
The music of Elvis Presley never grows old, but continues to find new fans with each generation. Thanks to this Broadway production, the King’s music is in the forefront once again. Featuring fresh new settings and a driving pulse throughout, this medley features the hits: “Jailhouse Rock,” “All Shook Up,” “Love Me Tender,” “C’mon Everybody,” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Music from Glee

There seems to be no stopping the popularity of the hit TV series Glee! With fresh versions of some of the biggest hits from past decades, here is a terrific medley of showstoppers featured on the first season. Includes: Don’t Stop Believin’, Alone, Sweet Caroline and You Keep Me Hangin’ On.
