Holiday Choral Reading Session Recap Friday, October 11, 2013

image.phpOn Saturday October 5, Stanton’s Sheet Music hosted our third annual FREE Holiday Choral Reading Session for area teachers and college music majors.  Our attendees gathered in the James E. Strouse Workshop Hall with our clinician Jen Sper, School Choral Music specialist at Stanton’s, for a wonderful morning of holiday music – and Christmas cookies!  What a great way to welcome the season!

Did you miss out on the session?  Never fear!  Here are just a few of our favorite pieces that were featured:

For middle school choirs: Adorar al Nino arr. Victor C. Johnson
For high school choirs: What Christmas Means to Me arr. Mac Huff
For college choirs: My Gift by John Ratledge
For women’s choirs: The Wexford Carol arr. Ruth Elaine Schram
For men’s choirs: A Doo-Wop Christmas (With You) by Kirby Shaw

For more titles featured on the clinic, check out Stanton’s Virtual Workshop!  You’ll be able to preview full octavos with audio demonstrations, as well as LIVE video footage from the session.  You can also find all of our Holiday Choral suggestions here, or contact us for more information.
