I’ll Be Seeing You : 51 Songs of World War Two Tuesday, April 22, 2014

This collection of sheet music, mostly from the 1940′s, reflects the time and attitudes of World War Two.  “What Do You Do in the Infantry?” by Frank Loesser,  “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition!” by Frank Loesser, and “(There’ll  Be a) Hot Time in the Town of Berlin” by Joe Bushkin and John DeVries  reflect the pugnacious spirit of war time.   “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree (With Anyone Else but Me)” by Brown, Stept and Tobias and “Do Nothin’ Til You Hear From Me”  by Duke Ellington and Bob Russell both speak to the sorrow of separation.  Longing for the end of the war is reflected in “When the Lights Go On Again(All Over the World)”  by Seiler, Marcus and Benjamin and  “(There’ll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs of Dover” by Burton and Kent .  These songs and many more are included in this collection.  Many have become standards, performed by many bands over the years.  For more information about this collection or others like it, call us at 1-800-42-MUSIC, email us at keyboard@stantons.com, or visit our website at http://www.stantons.com.  Shop Stanton’s for all your sheet music needs!
