Spring Session a Smashing Success! Wednesday, March 04, 2015

On Saturday Februarspring-piano-music-269x300y 28th, Stanton’s Sheet Music hosted our third annual FREE Spring Choral Reading Session for area teachers and college music majors. Our attendees gathered in the James E. Strouse Workshop Hall with our clinicians Jen Sper, Joyce Stonebraker and Rachel Steele, School Choral Music specialists at Stanton’s, for a wonderful morning of spring concert and graduation music – and breakfast treats! What a great way to welcome the end of the school year!

Did you miss out on the session? Never fear! Here are just a few of our favorite pieces that were featured:
For graduation: Things That Never Die by Victor C. Johnson
For high school choirs: We Sing by Brian Tate
For college choirs: Four Choral Critters by Christine Donkin
For women’s choirs: Msilale Wanawake by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory
For men’s choirs: Seize the Day arr. Kirby Shaw

For more titles featured on the clinic, check out Stanton’s Virtual Workshop! You’ll be able to preview full octavos with audio demonstrations, as well as video footage from the session. You can also find all of our Spring Choral suggestions here, or contact us for more information.
