Music and Magical Movement, Oh My! by Katie Grace Miller
Break out the parachutes, ribbons, and scarves, and discover the magic that happens when you bring movement to your listening lessons. These 16 lessons range from Kindergarten to Grade 6 with a variety of genres and styles, from percussion ensemble to parade band. They include an assortment of musical topics, such as long and short sounds with “Carnival of the Animals” and instrument families, that teaching veteran Katie Grace Miller has worked magic with in her classroom or performance opportunities. She offers many of those Mrs. Miller’s Magic Tricks here so you can do the same. It’s no illusion; try it and be amazed!
