Stanton’s Sheet Music would like to welcome to the neighborhood the new Columbus Public Vocational School. The new High 
School is right next door to Stanton’s, on the south side of Mound St. Construction started a little over a year ago and the new school opened its doors January 5th, 2009. Columbus Public Schools is consolidating its business and technology vocational programs under this single state-of-the-art center to give students more and better opportunities to develop necessary skills while gaining real-world experience in the downtown business arena.
The school admits approximately 800 Juniors and Seniors studying courses in Cosmetology, Graphic Arts-Printing, IT Networking & Communications, IT Software Development, IT Systems Technology, and Legal Office Technology. At least 10% of the students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society with ‘A’ averages in their programs and at least 94% attendance for the school year. The School is still somewhat under construction, but has opened it’s doors to enrolling students this January. Welcome to the Neighborhood!
