“Tales of Land and Sea” for the Boy's Changing Voice Monday, August 10, 2009

coastlineBriLee Music is respected across the country as a publisher of quality choral literature for developing singers.  Over the last few years, they have also presented some fine material for young solo singers, particularly for boys with changing voices.  The newest addition to this series is Tales of Land and Sea, compiled, composed and arranged by Mark Patterson.  This collection includes a variety of styles of music, including folk songs, sea chanteys, and original art songs.  The table of contents includes the vocal range of each piece (reaching from about a fifth to a full octave).  The ranges get gradually lower and wider as you progress through the book, beginning in the unchanged treble range and steadily moving to a developing baritone range, so it's easy to find a song that suits each individual boy's voice.

Other vocal solo collections available from BriLee Music are: Heroes and Vagabonds and Traveling On, both for changing male voices, and My Heart Sings, for developing treble voices.  Contact us for more information.
