Choral Pronunciation Resources Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Choral directors searching for guidance in foreign language pronunciation will find much valuable information in the DVDs Choral Singing in Latin and Choral Singing in German.  Nationally recognized language and diction specialist Darwin Sanders teaches pronunciation for over 35 of the most common Latin and German texts used in choral singing.  Each text is spoken by Sanders and then echoed by an on-screen ensemble.  This is a helpful and useful resource for both new and experienced choral educators, as well as music teachers new to the vocal field.

Another great resource on foreign language texts is the Translations & Annotations series from Earthsongs Music.  Check out our previous blog for information on these valuable resources.  For more information, please call us at 1-800-42-MUSIC or visit us online.
