Fans of Rosanne Cash will be aware of “The River and the Thread” album, released in 2014 by Blue Note Records, which won three Gammy Awards in 2015. Later that year, in October, she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame – Rosanne and her father, Johnny Cash, were the first father-daughter duo to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. “A Feather’s Not a Bird” is probably the the best known song from this album, and “When the Master Calls the Roll” is especially poignant.
