A long-time favorite for honor choirs and festivals in the SSAA voicing, the folksong Niska Banja is now available for SATB, 2-part treble, and TB ensembles. Niska Banja is a Serbian Roma dance popular throughout the Balkans. To central Europeans, the 9/8 rhythm of 2+2+2+3 is as natural as a 4/4 rock beat is in North America, and rapidly becomes both infectious and quite natural. Add the optional clarinet and tambourine parts (included in the vocal score) for a truly authentic performance!
