Blues” is the name given to a musical form that started in the deep South among the African-American communities in the late 1890s. The “twelve bar blues” chord progression  is the most common form.  The Blues is an enduring form.  Many people love to play the blues, some on the piano, some on the guitar, and some on the harmonica.
