Choral Department Highlights 10/18 Saturday, October 18, 2008
Here at Stanton’s we are always trying to offer the best music for our customers. As often as we can, we’ll present our staff recommendations for the best of the best, the most popular, or perhaps gems that flew under the radar. Here are some of our current choral department favorites.
GOOD CHRISTIAN MEN REJOICE (#08747476, arr. Dan Forrest)
If you have access to 2 pianists, this is a great choice for church, school or community choirs. The 4-hand piano accompaniment shimmers and really contributes to the energy of this arrangement.

Â
MOTHER GOOSE MADRIGALS (#CM9066, arr. Donald Moore)
A great change-of-pace selection, either as a set of four or individually. These familiar nursery rhymes get a new life with these fun arrangements.

Â
WHEN WE ARE SINGING A SONG (#15/2406H, Jerry Estes)
Jerry Estes has a knack for writing melodies with a pop “flavor” that kids really respond to, while still including lots of teaching opportunities. This is a great example – it’s uplifting without being “cheesy”, and fun without being “fluff”.

MICHAEL ROW THE BOAT ASHORE (#6351, arr. Earlene Rentz)
This arrangement is so fresh and original! It has great motion and energy, and really gives the old folk song a new twist.
