16th Annual Excellence in Choral Literature Clinic Monday, May 11, 2009
Stanton's Excellence in Choral Literature Clinic was developed in 1994 to provide an opportunity for directors to find high-quality and innovative concert and contest repertoire for their choirs from some of choral music's most notable composers. We are fortunate to have James C. Gallagher, Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University, as our clinician for the last 15 years. Mr. Gallagher spent many years developing successful and distinguished high school choral programs before his tenure as the long-time director of the OSU Men's Glee Club, during which the group flourished and attained national recognition.
The Excellence Clinic is also a wonderful opportunity to connect and re-connect with other choir directors, share thoughts and ideas, and NETWORK! We always begin the morning with complimentary coffee and doughnuts and socializing, and many attendees spend the entire afternoon here at the store. If you've never been to Stanton's before, this is a great time to do so - you'll spend the morning singing fantastic music, and you can spend the rest of the day exploring everything our store has to offer!
Mark your calendar for this year's clinic: Saturday, August 22, from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m in the James E. Strouse Workshop Hall here at Stanton's Sheet Music. The registration fee of $15 includes a complimentary packet of over 30 titles for mixed, women's and men's choirs at all levels of difficulty. You can register online or give us a call at 1-800-426-8742 and speak to the choral department. Â Check out our video below for more information. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Excellence Clinic as we discover beautiful music and share ideas with colleagues and friends!
