Online Resources for Choir Directors—UPDATE! Monday, June 01, 2009

If you find yourself wanting to review new choral music this summer, but you left all your materials at school—never fear! Many publishers are making it easier than ever to preview all the new choral selections online.

Hal Leonard's Choral Spectrum is now fully available online. You can choose to download the entire catalog to view or print, or you can browse by category online. Each item description includes all the available voicings and companion products, and has the “closer look” feature for each voicing so that you can preview actual pages of the arrangement.

Perhaps the most exciting feature that Hal Leonard is offering is the ability to download all of the listening samples from the Spectrum in podcast format; you can listen directly from your desktop, or load the files onto your mp3 player!

You can also view/download the 2009-2010 choral catalogs from Alfred Publishing and Shawnee Press, and search new publications online from BriLee Music, Carl Fischer, and Heritage Music Press.

If you have questions about product availability, please email or call us at 1-800-42-MUSIC. For more details about the tools that publishers offer on their websites, read our previous post.
