Joseph Martin leading the throng

Joseph Martin leading the throng

What’s the world coming to when someone from the instrumental department blogs about one of the biggest choral department functions of the year!?! I’m just kidding! I just feel privileged to have been able to play trumpet on one of the selections at the session this year.
Taking place on the pristine and idyllic campus of Otterbein College in Westerville, OH (BTW, voted one of the top 25 places to live in the USA), the clinic featured clinician and musician extraordinaire, Joseph Martin. Joseph started the session with an incredible improvisation on piano that perfectly set the mood for the 207-voice strong assemblage of church choir directors.
The clinic featured 42 pieces from numerous publishers, hand-selected by the crack choral cadre of choristers employed at Stanton’s.
