Jazz Guy in Paris Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Bonjour! Wow! Sometimes the worker bees at Stanton’s actually get some vacation time to do some traveling, and this time it’s my turn!

I’m actually in Paris this week checking out all of the sights and sounds (and food). I went to the Louvre a couple of days ago followed by Notre Dame and the Pantheon. I’m also trying to to stay in shape by doing “le jogging” in the Tuilleries Gardens. Pretty hip, hey? We (that’s right…I brought a date…my wife) went to Le Jules Verne restaurant on the second level of the Eiffel Tower and had an amazing meal!

I’ve actually done music stuff, too! One of the world’s great music publishers, LeDuc Publishing, is in Paris and we paid a visit. There also was a great impromptu concert on the square outside our hotel of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. I’m also going to get to sit in on a jazz gig on Tuesday night in the Latin Quarter at the Caveau du la Huchette.

One commercial plug… If you’re ever in Paris stay at the Hotel du Louvre! I can’t say enough, just go to their website.

I’ll be gladly returning to the good old USA soon but with some incredible memories. BTW, this is being blogged to you on the Eurostar train returning to Paris from London after a day trip. AND, in case you’re wondering, that’s a yummy plate of escargot in the photo. Eeeowww!!!

Au revoir and bon soir!
