In June of 1969, the group Iron Butterfly still had a popular album on the charts that included a song that can be found in over a dozen songbooks for guitar in 2014. The song was “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida“. It had been on the charts since December 7, 1968. It stayed on the charts until July of 1969. 
“The Boomer’s Book of Classic Rock Guitar” is full of hits from the 60′s and 70′s that the Boomers grew up with, including “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”. Of the six titles on the album, only this song has endured.
