Guitar Picking Tunes Tuesday, April 09, 2019
recommended by Barb M., Keyboard and Folk Music Specialist
Fun Solos to Play is a collection of 47 favorite guitar picking tunes collected by the author, William Bay. They come from many different places: Ireland, Scotland, England, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The melodies are easy to pick, and include slides, hammer-ons, and other guitar embellishments. Chord names are included, so another guitarist can play backup; the range of the melodies brings the tunes within reach of a fiddler or mandolinist, too! Online audio is also included, so you can play along!
