hollywood africans jon batisteHollywood Africans reached number 33 on Billboard’s United States Top Current Album chart in 2018. Included are originals “Kenner Boogie,” named for the composer’s home town, and “Don’t Stop,” cowritten with Steve McEwan. New covers of “Smile” (Charlie Chaplin) and Ray Noble’s “The Very Thought of You” are part of this ten-title offering.

Jon Batiste and his band, Stay Human, have been the house band for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert since 2015.  A graduate of Julliard, Jon Batiste has much to offer the music scene not only in New York City, but also to the nation at large. Give this album a listen, then see which songs are the ones you want to learn to play first!
