Treat your audience to a movie-going experience by programming choral selections of the silver screen in your next concert. The only thing missing is the popcorn!
The Place Where Lost Things Go (from Mary Poppins Returns) arr. Mac Huff, SATB with piano & optional combo
Nominated for Best Original Song at the 2019 Academy Awards. Have you ever lost something you loved; a toy, a book, a favorite memento? Leave it to Mary Poppins to tell you about the metaphorical space where the things you’ve lost and loved are waiting anxiously for your return. Not a dry eye will be left in your audience when it is revealed, at the end of the song, the thing for which the Banks children have been pining with all their hearts.
S.O.S. arr. Audrey Snyder, SATB with piano & optional rhythm
The Goddess of Pop, Cher, after starring in 2018’s smash-hit sequel “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again,” decided to make an entire cover album of ABBA’s best-known hits entitled “Dancing Queen,” in turn becoming her highest-ranking debut album in the US ever. Snyder captures the signature groove and infuses the arrangement with Cher’s powerful vocality!
We Are the Champions arr. Roger Emerson, SATB with piano & optional rhythm
The mega hit movie “Bohemian Rhapsody” has introduced a whole new audience to the music of Queen. And there are few rock songs that lend themselves so well to choral singing. This is an arrangement that combines classic Queen with classic choral singing for a powerhouse pop/rock addition to your choir concert.
Can You Imagine That? (from Mary Poppins Returns) arr. Audrey Snyder, 2-part with piano
This adventure with Mary Poppins gets off to a suitably magical and delightful start with this bubbly bath-time number. Choirs will have a blast with the tongue-in-cheek text and exhilarating music!
A Million Dreams (from The Greatest Showman) arr. Roger Emerson, 3-part mixed with piano
“A Million Dreams” features the young P.T. Barnum as he shows his visions and hopes for the future. Throughout all his hardships, he is shown compassion and help and gains a broader perspective into the human condition. An outstanding message to reinforce in young singers, Roger Emerson’s arrangement is a gateway into instilling confidence and imagination in choral singing.
