recommended by Judy H. and Jennifer F., Sacred Choral Music Specialists
Recommended by our Sheet Music Specialists, these titles are selected especially for your youngest singers in worship:
Children of the Risen King by Becki Slagle Mayo & Lynn Shaw Bailey, Unison/2-part with piano and optional glockenspiel or metallophone
Celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, this joyous Easter anthem features optional parts for glockenspiel or metallophone that add a triumphant sparkle to the regal melody. Budding two part choirs will find the optional voice part a breeze to learn and fun to sing.
Hosanna! by Lynn Russell, Unison with piano and optional handbells
For something different, consider this lilting, gentle 6/8 song for Palm Sunday. The step-wise writing and fully supportive accompaniment make this piece easy to learn and a sure success. The optional 6-note handbells (included) add a special dimension to the performance.
In God’s Hands arr. Erik Whitehill, 2-part with piano
Children’s and youth choirs will have a ton of fun with Erik Whitehill’s reimagination of “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” This two-part anthem features updated and inclusive language along with a funky, rhythmic accompaniment. Whitehill’s two-part writing is accessible and hits all the right marks!
Shine Like Jesus by Lynn Russell, Unison with piano
This bluesy anthem, with clever lyrics, light syncopation, and finger snaps, is sure to be a favorite! In story-like fashion, the text traces the life of the Apostle Paul – Saul the Pharisee becomes Paul the missionary. The melody’s upper notes are approached carefully for successful singing, and the dramatic ending adds sparkle!
