Official Songs of the US Armed Forces for Piano Friday, October 23, 2020
recommended by Caryn G. and Judy S., Sacred Piano Music Specialists
The United States Armed Forces are divided into five branches: the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. This series of collections “Official Songs of the US Armed Forces” contain the official songs of these branches, as well as a special concert-worthy medley that combines them. The solo piano arrangements are written in singable keys and contain lyrics, which make them perfect for sing-alongs. They can also be performed for school talent shows, community celebrations, homecomings, and pageants. Available for Early Intermediate to Intermediate Piano (arranged by Melody Bober), Intermediate to Late Intermediate Piano (arranged by Dan Coates), and Early Advanced Piano (arranged by Mary K. Sallee).
Titles include: “The Caissons Go Rolling Along (The Army Goes Rolling Along)”; “The Marines’ Hymn (From the Halls of Montezuma)”; “Anchors Aweigh”; “The U.S. Air Force (The Wild Blue Yonder)”; “Semper Paratus (Always Ready)”; “Songs of the Armed Forces (A Medley for Solo Piano).”
