Meet the Stanton’s Team – Jen Sper Tuesday, August 03, 2021
Our Stanton’s team is known throughout the music industry as “The Sheet Music Specialists,” and for good reason – our staff is made up of educated, experienced, and dedicated musicians in all areas of the music realm. In this series, we invite you to learn about our staff members on an individual level. We hope you will get to know the “real” us, and learn how we might better be of service to you!
Jen Sper is a Choral Music Specialist at Stanton’s Sheet Music with experience and expertise in middle school and high school choral, vocal and general music. A native of Cincinnati, she holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baldwin Wallace College (now University) Conservatory of Music, and taught 7-12 choir, music theory, class piano, and drama in Southern Ohio before joining the Stanton’s team in 2006. She has also pursued graduate level coursework through Wright State University, University of Akron, and University of Cincinnati.
Jen served on the music staff of the Cardinal Chorale and the All-Ohio Youth Choir for many years, and is currently the soprano section leader and associate conductor of the Coshocton Community Choir. She is also a very active accompanist in many schools across the Central Ohio area.
When not at Stanton’s (or playing a gig), Jen can be found exploring the exciting restaurant, brewery, and theater scenes in Columbus, wandering through the local metro parks, visiting family around the Great Lakes, or at home with her very friendly cat.
