Now Sing We, Now Rejoice arr. Mason Koertiz, 2-part with piano
Part of the Concordia Children’s Series, this setting by Mason Koertiz of the tune IN DULCI JUBILO is for two-part choir and piano. This piece utilizes an echo effect to provide a simple introduction to two-part singing. The natural dancelike tune is supplemented with a flowing piano accompaniment.
O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings by G.F. Handel/arr. Jeremy J. Bankson, Unison with piano
A unison setting of the well-known chorus from Messiah arranged for children’s voices. The arranger simplified some of the melismatic passages and changed the key to G major. Equally effective with adult voices.
Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella arr. Tom Shelton, Unison with piano and optional flute (or C instrument)
This arrangement of the traditional French carol gives your singers the unique opportunity to sing in a foreign language on the first verse. Singers will rise to the challenge and feel a sense of accomplishment as they discover a new (yet old) Christmas carol that they can sing in French. Verses 2 and 3 are in English. The added flute part provides additional variety and contrast.
On This Silent Night (with Silent Night) arr. Ruth Elaine Schram, Unison/2-part with piano and optional flute (or C instrument)
Ruth Elaine Schram has written an elegant Christmas carol that pairs beautifully with “Silent Night.” The original melody is mostly step-wise and paints a pastoral scene. The piece may be performed in unison or as a partner song to create a beautiful berceuse. A quiet, peaceful ending completes the picture.
Fairest Lord Jesus arr. Cindy Berry, Unison/2-part with piano and optional congregation
This delightful arrangement of the beloved hymn conveys a feeling of celebration with its upbeat tempo and simple syncopation ideal for older elementary youth or adult choirs. Solo singing and congregational participation provide additional ways to program this hymn into worship with unique style.
I’m Gonna Sing arr. Brad Nix, Unison/2-part with piano
Brad Nix expertly arranges this traditional spiritual for unison and optional 2-part choirs. Hand claps and “Amens” add fun to the arrangement, while the optional second part adds layering and texture. The ending features strong dynamic contrast that produces a dramatic effect. Fun!
Immortal, Invisible arr. Sandy Wilkinson, Unison/2-part with piano and optional congregation
This lightly syncopated arrangement by Sandy Wilkinson breathes new life into the traditional hymn. An optional descant is offered for verse 2, and verse 3 provides options for the congregation to join in the praise. The ending finishes with the original syncopated rhythm, complete with optional harmony.
Walk in the Light arr. Sandy Wilkinson, Unison with piano and optional tambourine
A relaxed gospel feel characterizes this anthem from the pen of Sandy Wilkinson. The original text declares that “Jesus Is The Light Of The World,” so we should walk in the light and let our light shine. Written for unison voices, the melody is full of step-wise motion, and the accompaniment is supportive and fun. An optional tambourine part adds to the gospel feel and is included.
O Lord, Our God, We Thank You by Vicki Hancock Wright, Unison with piano and optional handbells
Filled with charm and wonder this anthem of thanksgiving celebrates the bounty of God’s goodness that surrounds us each day. A captivating piano accompaniment brings lush harmonic color and strong melodic support to the memorable melody while an optional handbell part adds an additional layer of sparkle to the piece.
