Beautiful and heartfelt, “As Shadows Fall” is an outstanding lyrical work for younger bands from the talented pen of Rob Romeyn. This flexible instrumentation arrangement for the Barnhouse “Build-A-Band” series makes this outstanding work accessible to smaller and awkwardly-instrumented ensembles. A beautiful and memorable melody gradually grows amid changing textures and harmonies ultimately leading to a soaring and dramatic final climax. Ending as it began, with a gentle breeze, quietly fading away amid the setting sun. Many opportunities for lyrical technique and expressive qualities make this a superlative choice for concert or festival use.
