Hear the Bells Ring! New Holiday Titles for Beginning Choir Monday, October 20, 2025

recommended by Jen Sper, School Choral Music Specialist
Hear the Bells Ring! by Greg Gilpin, 2-part with piano
This bright Christmas fanfare makes a great opener or closer. Brimming with buoyant vocal parts and playful “ding-a dings” to spare, it’s equal parts festive and fun.
All for a Merry Christmas by Mary Donnelly & George L.O. Strid, 2-part with piano and optional glockenspiel
Mistletoe, bells, and snowflakes celebrate the wonderful season of Christmas in this charming piece for two-part choirs. A delightful part for glockenspiel and a dancing meter in three add to the spirit of cheer and joy.
Walking in the Air arr. John Leavitt, 2-part with piano and optional strings & percussion
Raymond Briggs’ 1978 children’s picture book about a snowman coming to life was made into a celebrated half-hour animated film, “The Snowman.” This song sets the sequence in which the snowman flies with a boy to the North Pole, and the music suits the exciting journey through a winter wonderland. This beautiful winter feature with an optional orchestration for strings and percussion will be the highlight of your winter concert!
