The final volume in this popular series of reflective piano music books, “The Quiet Heart” was written at a time when the composer was experiencing health issues, and the resulting focus is on healing and comfort. However, not all the material is subdued – there are several titles written as dances, inspired by Psalm 30, “You have turned my mourning into dancing.” The rather uncomplicated writing belies the musical impact of this music.
