Amazing Grace! arr. Lloyd Larson, 3-5 octaves handbells with piano, Level 2

God’s Peace arr. Brenda Austin, 3-6 octaves handbells and 3 octave handchimes, Level 2
This gentle ballad, with a text by Marva Dawn, centers on the theme of entering into worship where we may find stillness in God’s peace. The meditative hymn text draws from the 23rd Psalm, with references to the table of the Lord, where all are fed and thirsts are quenched, making it ideal for communion as well as a call and preparation for worship.

Lord of the Dance arr. Jason Krug, 3-5 octaves handbells, Level 2
Join the celebration with this fresh arrangement of Sydney Carter’s enchanting hymn based on “Simple Gifts.” Written for 3-5 octaves of handbells, this accessible setting is rich with fun rhythms and stopped techniques; a sure winner for the Easter season.

The Gift of Love arr. Brenda Austin, Solo handbells with piano and optional C instrument, Level 2-
Hal Hopson’s classic, with its haunting tune, is arranged here in an accessible setting for solo handbells and optional C instrument, using only 9 bells. Useful year-round and especially ideal for services where “love” is the theme. The Performance/Accompaniment CD includes a performance demo, an accompaniment track and a “slower” accompaniment track for rehearsal.

Classic Rings II arr. Martha Lynn Thompson, 3 octaves handbells, Level 1-2
This collection of familiar, classics includes mostly works from the baroque period, but some contemporary tunes as well. You’ll find compositions by Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Haydn, Verdi, Brahms, Schubert, Chopin, Bizet, and more. As you work your way through the 37 titles the arrangements get progressively more advanced moving from Level 1 to 2. Tips for teaching rhythms are included throughout. This resource is reproducible, making it a great value.

Smaller-ER but Mighty Volume 2 arr. Linda Lamb, 8 bells
The eight titles contained in this collection are versatile, musical, and fun. Playable with two, three, or four ringers, these are ideal for “socially distant” ringing without tables. Perfect for the small ensemble looking for a diverting challenge, or for the larger choir on those Sundays when you’re missing members. All the arrangements have been written for the treble clef, F5-F6. Titles include: “All Creatures of Our God and King,” “Praise the Lord!,” “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus,” “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” “O, How I Love Jesus,” “Everyone, Join to Sing,” “Brethren, We Have Met to Worship,” and “Blessings All Around.”

Sweet Hour of Prayer arr. Linda Lamb, 2-3 octaves handbells, Level 1
Beginning groups will enjoy playing this simple yet lovely arrangement of the Bradbury tune. LV and echo techniques are used effectively, and a verse of “O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee” appears in the middle for contrast. Be sure to bring out the melody that sometimes is surrounded by harmony notes. Use for prelude, offertory, or communion.

I Come with Joy arr. Anna Laura Page, 3-5 octaves handbells and optional handchimes, Level 3
Two tunes, DOVE OF PEACE and LAND OF REST are combined in this lovely setting for communion or general use. Mallets begin and add a percussive touch to the 6/8 rhythm throughout. Optional handchimes (three octaves) take the melody in the middle with bells providing harmony. The two tunes change places at times, ending with “I Come With Joy,” a fitting response to communion.

Morning Has Broken arr. Sondra K. Tucker, 3-5 octaves handbells and optional handchimes, Level 2
Singing bells with treble chords in quartal harmony evoke the feeling of dawn. The tune BUNESSAN is then presented with arpeggiated accompaniment, and some surprising harmonic twists lend new color to the traditional sound. Verses build into a final maestoso before the singing bells take over, then the piece ends as it began. This arrangement is a lovely offering for worship any time of year.
